Costa Smeralda
Porto Cervo
Porto Cervo takes its name from its natural harbour, shaped like a deer ("cervo"), ringed by the village's coloured houses. It remains the crown of the Costa Smeralda — the Piazzetta, high-end boutiques, and every September the Sardinia Cup regatta bringing sailors from across the Mediterranean.
Its beaches carry their own reputations: La Pitrizza, Pevero, Cala Capriccioli, Romazzino, Liscia Ruja, and Principe. On land, the Pevero Golf Club and an annual Wine and Food Festival keep the calendar full well past the summer crowds.
