Cannigione

Cannigione trades Porto Cervo's status for a genuine year-round community, without giving up much distance to the Costa Smeralda's beaches. Its marina, with a stone pier and mobile docks for over 500 boats, looks out toward Caprera Island and sends summer tours out to La Maddalena.

Riva Azzurra Park and La Conia beach sit within walking or cycling distance of town; three kilometres along the road to Palau, Tanca Manna, Mannena, and Le Piscine cover windsurfing, snorkelling, and a shallow natural pool respectively. Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport is close enough to make the whole area practical, not just picturesque.
